Kluster Crochet Hook Holder

Berroco has some great patterns, including this free pattern for a crochet hook holder. It came together really quickly, in about 3 hours. It would be an excellent pattern for a beginner who wants a challenge as the green part is all single crochet but the pink part is made out of the shell stitch.

The original pattern called for felting the green part in the washing machine, but the yarn I wanted to use is mercerized so I left it unfelted. Also, the pattern called for crocheting the rows along the short side and not along the long side like I did (if that makes any sense?). The pattern was so easy I read it once through at the beginning and then never referred to it again. Perhaps I should have paid closer attention because I think it would roll up a little more nicely if I had done it the correct way…
